Verse of the Week #50 Waves are Still

Psalm 107:29-32
"He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven. Oh that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the company of the elders."

Isn't that interesting? It says that after God calms the waves, they are glad because they are quiet. I thought that was cool. Truly, all of God's creation can praise Him in its own way.

ATTENTION! You can pick one of the following verses of the week! How? Here is how:
Just send me the verse through the contact form on the side bar, to the right of my posts, under contact. If you have a story of how this helps/helped you, that you are okay with other people reading, please include it! Or even if it is just your insight, or what you think about the verse. I will then publish it as one of the verses of the week, along with what you shared. And you don't have to have any story or insight to share, to send a verse in. As long as it is a verse you like, go ahead! But just so you know, I may not publish everything.

Verse of the Week #48/49 TRUST.

I am sorry I did not publish the verses of the week. These are some of them, and then I will publish this week's in a separate post.

#58 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones."
Proverbs 3:5-8 (NKJV)
Feel free to pin this picture!
#59  "But those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31

I want to mount up on wings like eagles. I want to wait on the Lord. I want my strength to be renewed, and to run and not be weary, to walk, and not grow faint. If only we wait on the Lord, we can have all of these things.
And you don't have to be going through anything big to learn. A lot of people are still doing it--learning how to trust in God. It doesn't have to be the main, or one of the main things you are learning to learn it when you need to. It doesn't have to be a big issue in your life to be able to learn to trust Him. You can do this. You are not the only one who has needed to renew their trust, even I need to trust Him more. And no matter what, we can still practice trust.
We need to practice trust.
One thing that happens is that sometimes it seems like we have to make a huge deal about something to be learning it. When we don't.  We Christians are still figuring stuff out.
God bless you.

P.S. If you are not a Christian, it is a great thing to be! Surround yourself with Christians, and the knowledge of God, and you should be able to see why. God loves us all. And He is waiting with arms open wide. God be with you.
All you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised Jesus from the dead (after He died on the cross for our sins, that is) and then you are saved! The next thing to do is read your Bible, find a good church, and surround yourself with good Christian influences as you live your life--with God in it.
Have a wonderful week!

Green Beans in the Garden (Shared Post)

Hello friends, I am sharing my Mom's post today.
I encourage you to check it out. I love the song video.
Have a good day!

Verse of the Week #57

Lamentations 3:22-26
"22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."
Verse text copied from Bible Gateway, I added quotation marks, and changed text to fit the format of my blog.
I am planning on posting a March Highlights post, like Bethany, but I haven't written it yet.
Also, I know it is off subject, but I like this song.

Have a good week!
