-------When the Bridegroom Comes--Do Not Fear--But Be Ready!

"Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God    the Almighty reigns.Let us rejoice and exult    and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come,    and his Bride has made herself ready;it was granted her to clothe herself    with fine linen, bright and pure”—for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints." -Revelation 19:6-8 (Copied from Bible Gateway, ESV.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You came near when I called you, and you said, "Do not fear."
Lamentations 3:57 (NIV)
[God said, "Do not fear".]

I recommend reading them soon, if not today.

We need to be ready for the coming of the LORD. We don't need to be afraid of the end times, but we do need to fear the LORD and shun evil. He truly is a lion, and that is something we can't forget. Because without the lion part of God, there shouldn't be the lamb. Fearing the end times has been something that has had me, but I don't need to, and I hope you don't either. You don't need to fear the end times.

"....And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:20 (NLT)

Just follow God, know your salvation is true, be ready, and do His work until He comes, sharing the gospel with people. And don't let other people deceive you. If they say Christ is coming at a certain time, don't believe them; they don't know. Only the Father knows, and when God comes, we will know.
But if we know where we stand (that needs to be with God), and we are ready (reading our Bible, following God, sharing Jesus and the gospel, turning away from evil), we needn't be afraid.

The following Bible verses have been copied & pasted from biblehub.com, with the exception of me writing the addresses and versions (& some quotation marks when needed). The addresses/versions of the verses are linked to biblehub.com, going either to the verse or chapter:

"18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (BSB)

"14But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, you are blessed. “And you should not be afraid of their threats,b neither should you be troubled.”1 Peter 3:14 (BLB)

"20Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”
Exodus 20:20 (NIV)

These are only some of the many verses that you can find in the Bible if you are struggling with fear, fear of the end times, or if you just want to know more about the Revelation. But don't just take my word for it, go find them! If you don't know where to look, there are many resources you can find online like Bible Gateway, and also you can look at the Bible Dictionaries that they probably have at your library.

Have a faith and joy filled life.
God bless you and your family!

Also, you should check out what I read today: Matthew 22:1-14, Matthew 24, and Matthew 25.

  1. I read your suggestions: Matthew 22:1-14, Matthew 24-25. Heavy reading! Can it really be? Could this be the times? When I was young, we had a family who fled Nazi German as a young woman. She said people were certain then too, but it wasn't the time. So, we live, pray, do our thing...and we'll see.

    1. Thing is, we don't know when He's coming. The disciples didn't, and we don't. But we need to, as you said, "live, pray, do our thing[:)]...and we'll see". I am not saying one hundred percent that the end times are soon, but it could be.

  2. Yes, we must always be watchful and ready for when he comes. "Like a thief in the night." No one will know the day or hour of his coming, so we must be prepared. Thanks for the great reminder!
