Verse of the Week #55--Me and Blogging--PLEASE READ!

Hello, as I told you in the last post, I am going to only go to Verse of the Week #60, and then I will be taking a break for a while. Five more weeks to go!

I know I have not been blogging lately, other than verse of the week (pretty much). And to be honest, right now blogging is not my top priority. So yes, I will continue posting, but not as much for now. I hope you understand, and by all means, DON'T GO AWAY! I AM NOT STOPPING THIS BLOG! I am just putting this priority on the back burner for a while. As I said, I will continue posting, but not as much for now.

Here is the weekly verse (not connected to the writing above):

"He must increase, but I must decrease."
John 3:30

Verse of the Week #54-------I have not fallen off the face of the earth!

For new readers, I am not just a blog dedicated to verses of the week! I have posted other stuff than that. Right now I haven't, but I need to. We are busy--which really isn't an excuse since I do have time to post, but still. I just haven't really wanted to, either. I guess I am taking a break, of sorts, other than my verses of the week. By the way, if you have not read it yet, I am ending my verses of the week after I post the 60th verse, unless I have people who share verses. Then I might go to 70.
I may pick it up later again, but not now. I hope you understand.
This week's verse is:

"Whatever you do work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
Colossians 3:23

Verse of the Week #53

Thank you for the verse, Faith.
Our creek. But it has changed since this was taken.
This week's verse was shared by Faith, at Chosen Vessels.

"Here's one of my favorite verses, 1 Peter 5:7 KJV. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

There's also a song written from it which I really like also. :)

And remember! You can share a verse, too! Just send it to me through the contact form on the side of my blog!

Verse of the Week #52

VERSE OF THE WEEK NEWS: I am going to go to verse #60, and then I think I want to take a break for a little while. But remember! I am open to suggestions of verses to share! I would love to hear your favorites, and ones you just like.

Psalm 121
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore."

I copied the verse text from Bible Gateway. The version is NIV, and I added quotation marks, and the chapter title.

The Crystal Door Knob Writing Challenge WINNERS!

I would like to announce the winners of the Crystal Door Knob Writing Challenge!

And I decided not to have first and second (etc.) places.

Faith Potts (Stories by Firefly!)
Laura Lane (Harvest Lane Cottage)

How I felt about the stories:
♦Faith's story portrayed adventure, and imagination.
Faith, you took my little story prompt and made it into something so different...and amazing. Good job. And the last part makes me imagine the door (with the crystal door knob) so much better than I originally had. Great job!

♦Laura's story made me laugh, and left me feeling good.
Mom, your story was very good. I liked how you crossed modern day with the more medieval feeling title of a Princess. You added in the faith of God, and did a good job with that. You also added a humorous scene, which made me laugh. Great job!

Would you like to read the stories?
I will publish my mom's story on this blog, but I will have to ask permission to publish Faith's, first.

Giveaway and Review! Wonders of Creation Coloring Book [Detailed Pictures] 5/8 US

Hello, friends! My mom is hosting a giveaway of this coloring book, and I am doing a personal review of it. I have colored two and a half pictures so far, and my sister colored the tiger picture. The blank ones are just a few that are in the book, to give you an idea on what you are looking at.

And now for my review.
Coloring pictures: Some of the pictures seemed a little too kiddish for a coloring book meant for older people. So in that, I was a little disappointed. It seemed like they were trying to make more cartoonish looking animals into grand works of art. It sometimes worked, sometimes didn't, in my opinion. But, also, I did like some of the cartoony looking animals. So no, they weren't all bad.

Designs: No, I don't love all of the designs. Some of them are great, while some are a little like, "What?" or, "Okay...". Anyway though, I like how everything is more detailed than a coloring book for a little kid. And I like most of the plant designs in it.

A good thing about this book: You can use your imagination when it comes to colors. You  don't have to be classic, or just draw what is more realistic. I colored leaves in different colors! But with this book, you can get away with it. So over all, this book can give you freedom to be crazy when it comes to coloring. Me, I mostly like to make things look realistic, but with this book, I was okay with doing something different. You don't have to keep to the rules, because the people who designed it expected for you to be able to use your creativity when coloring.

Over all rating: Out of five stars, I would give this book either a four, or a close three. Some things I like, some things I don't really like.

Would I buy this in a store? Being honest, I don't think I would buy this book in a store.
But you might like it. I got this book free, because my mom reviewed it. So if you enter the contest and win, it is a pretty good book to get for free. This is just my honest opinion.

Verse of the Week #51

Hosea 12:6 (NIV)
"But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always."
Feel free to submit your favorite Bible verses! I would love to hear them and use them on this blog! Just comment below.

These verses also tie in with the verse of the week.

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
"But those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Joel 2:13 (NASB)
"Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.' Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish."

Have a great week!
