Verse Of Week #18

Yes, I know I skipped the #17 verse, but I just completely forgot. Sorry about that! But to stay on track, and not to get confused, I will just skip that number and go on. So to make it up, I will give you two verses for this week.

"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's spirit dwells in your midst?"
-1 Corinthians 3:16

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence for things unseen." - Hebrews 11:1

Verse Of The Week #16

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains-- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip--He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you--the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm-- He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
-Psalm 121
Will you?
I know this is longer than usual, but it is worth it.
Have a great week!

What's Going On

Okay. I don't know really how to write a post like this, so I will answer questions.

What are you involved in right now?
I am involved in 4-H, soon a Bible study with the younger girls in my dance team, and...not much else comes to mind.
Tell me about your family.
I am the youngest, and I have one sister and two brothers. My sister, dad, and my mom all have blogs.
What are you learning about in your spiritual walk?
How to have a better relationship with God, and to have peace in unpeaceful times!
What are you reading?
I am finishing up a amazing book full of suspense and mystery: Gift From The Storm  by Rebekah A. Morris, whom I happen to know in person. :)  I can hardly put the book down...literally!
What book of the Bible are you reading?
A tough one to understand: Jeremiah.
Are you getting ready for anything soon?
Yes. The 4-H Public Speaking thing at achievement day.
What hobbies have you recently been doing?
Painting, and a little drawing.

That is all I can think of right now, have any more questions for what I am doing? I would love to hear from you, and feel free to comment below.

This was a question (sort of) asked by Bethany.

This post is packed full of links! The words in italic go somewhere!

Review: The Graham Quartet and the Mysterious Strangers

Rebekah Morris

I really enjoyed this book. I like the Graham Quartet, because they show unity in being siblings. They do stuff together unlike most families nowadays. I love the mystery! Who would expect it? Without giving anything away, I think that this is a great book for kids as well as young teenagers. One thing I admire is Rebekah putting in is their constant faith in God. They look to God when trouble or confusion is present, and they pray together for guidance. Overall, this is a book you ought to read, it is a page flipper!

*We purchased this book.

Happy Mothers Day! and Verse Of The Week #16

I want to dedicate this verse of the week to my mom, and all moms. I speak for us kids saying we love you and appreciate all you do for us. Thank you for not giving up. You are truly amazing, and we can never thank you enough. Even when we can be challenging and hard to reach, we love you. Encourage your mom to read this post if you agree. Even YOU, if you are a mom, send this to your mom. And have them read Proverbs 31:10-31

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." "

Out of our mind for God

2 Corinthians 5:11-15 "Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."

You are Awesome! Comment On!

Okay! It has only been a couple days and people are already commenting! So I want to thank everyone and say, "KEEP ON COMMENTING!"
I want you to know what I am doing with your requests.
I am taking each one and writing them on a slip of paper along with your name, and putting them in an envelope that says Blog Post Requests. So, when I can't think of a subject, or just want to, I will pick out a paper and write a blog post on that subject or question.
Oh? I didn't say that did I? Well, I am welcoming questions as well as subjects. I would like you to keep on commenting on this post and the last two. And you can comment however many times you want. I don't even care if you comment ten times--there is no limit to the comments!

Keep calm and comment on.
Please also keep all comments appropriate, or I will not publish them or write about them.

Ice Cream

Emily (my sister) asked me to write about my favorite ice cream. So I am!

I have to say Chocolate is my favorite. I like when it has something mixed in, or when it is a part of a flavor. One of my favorites is Cappuccino Chunky Chocolate. The funny thing is that it is not made with coffee or cappuccino. I am not allowed to drink either, so I would not know if it tastes the same. :) I just like it.
I also like Strawberry, because when I was littler it was always my favorite. So the flavor reminds me of memories. Does that make sense? I also like Braum's holidays flavors.
Thanks for the inspiration Emily!
What is your favorite (s)?

Being The Real Me---and---Comment On!

One hard thing about having a blog is that you can learn not to be real. So that is why it has always been hard for me to have a blog. Until now.
I have learned that I always just covered up my spiritual struggle and pretty much my personality. I want to make it clear that I do have the same struggles as others. I am not perfect.
If you have not read this blog for longer than the past few months, I pretty much never had complete faith posts. I did not know how to bring it up, so I always was listless when it came to writing a blog post. But I have learned from God that I just need to be me. The real me. Not the living in faith and fun old me.

That is why my blog has a lot more about the faith part right now. But I DO WANT TO KEEP DOING SOME FUN POSTS! Got any ideas? I am pretty busy and I don't always remember. Here is the time I can use my 20 something followers!
So my intention for this blog is to be me. And to talk about my faith in God, and I hope you will interact and comment!
This blog is not just for me to say everything! I want your opinion too!
I would like to start a idea list for posts. They can be anything including fun things, faith things, history, science, an animal, a recipe, really anything! I probably won't do all of them, but I am welcome to ideas. Thanks everybody!

What would you like me to write about?

Verse Of The Week #15

Proverbs 13:12
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a long fulfilled dream is a tree of life."

Everyone have a wonderful week!
