Verse of the Week #24 What I really needed

Hello friends! I will start this post with an amazing verse from God's word.

"One who has unreliable friends will soon come to ruin, but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24

Don't read this like it is just another verse. Because it isn't! I think that everyone who has had friendship problems know this. If you haven't, you are lucky!
So stay true and honest with your bestie. Even your acquaintances! Trust me, you will lead a better friendship.

Sometimes, when something is taken away from you, you value it more. But also, when you do not have it, you open your eyes to everyone who needs it, and you take action and help to achieve it. Get all that? Because that is what happened to me when one of my best friends left our current church.
I got my eyes opened to the people who really needed a friend, and I did not see that when I always hung out with my friend. It is not that I was being rude, I just didn't take the time.
Also, from then on, I never really saw my friend; but now, I am happy because we are re-becoming friends.
God works in wise ways.
By taking part of my friendship, He made me a friend to others. And both my friend and I learned some great lessons in this time apart. Honestly, we needed that temporary separation.
This is not my picture, but my friend's. I edited it though.
Ecclesiastes 3:7
"A time to tear, and a time to mend, a time to be silent, and a time to speak."

Figure out how to make your friend feel special, and tell her how much you care about her.

Verse of the Week #23

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10

I hope this is what you needed today. Thanks to the two girls who nominated me for the sisterhood of the world bloggers. I will be writing it soon, I assure you.
Have a great week. May God prove to you His love, and uphold you with His righteous right hand. Praise the Lord.

God Had Something Different In Mind...

Proverbs 19:23
"The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; he will not be visited with evil."

We all need the fear of the Lord.
Read about God, and maybe like me, you will find his lion side as well as his lamb side. And through knowing him, your relationship will be amazing. Don't pass this up!
Have you ever been best friends with someone you did not know a ton about? No.
Then why are you not trying to find out about God?
It took awhile for me to be hungry, but now I want to know more and more about who God really is, not just who I think He is. I need to share personally how this happened to me.

Teen Talent was coming up. It was my first year, and I love to dance. So I started looking for a song, and selected What Do I Know of Holy?, by Addison Road, because it sounded pretty. I was fine with it until I bought it. When I was continuing creating my dance, I realized I had NO IDEA what this song was about, and honestly I felt guilty when I heard it sometimes. I thought it was making me question my relationship with God, and in a way it was. I ended up asking God if I should still do it just in case someone in the audience needed it.
So I chose to be a vessel. But God chose something else.

The night before Teen Talent, everyone involved came to a service held at the church we were going to be performing at. At first it was normal, and we were all praising God. But then God intervened in the service stronger than I have ever experienced. They had an alter call, and I went up. I was pouring my heart out to God.

QUICK NOTE: This does not happen to me normally. This was the holy spirit in me.
Then it happened. I knew what the song was about!
It did make me question our (God and I) relationship. But in a good way, one that I could learn from. I noticed that I did not have a secure relationship with God, because I was doing all the talking, and He seemed to be mute with me. I had not even tried sign language (Representing: Saying something and waiting for a response through the Bible, a book, or a sign),  because I did not understand. Honestly, I had thrift store faith. Old faith I had inherited through someone else, not truly my own.

The words helped me because I realized how little I really knew about God's character. Who He Was, Is, and always Will be. I always looked at Him as a lamb. When I looked at the cross, I saw a lamb being hauled to the slaughter for the ultimate sacrifice, but then being raised again. I should have seen a holy lamb being beaten and bruised for me and being nailed to the altar for my transgressions and my evil thoughts. And then dying on the altar as the ultimate sacrifice so I won't have to die. Then being raised from the dead roaring like a lion--defeating the grave with victory and love.
So I decided I was going to find out more of who God was, because What Do I Know of Holy?

So the song for someone else was really a song for me. That is God for you, He makes the plans. Not us. But~His thoughts are higher than my thoughts, and His ways are higher than my ways~thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in His name, thanks be to God, thanks be to God!~ He has overcome!

This is my dance:
My actual performance, which is a lot better, is not uploaded to Youtube yet, so my computer cannot process it yet. So when I get it uploaded I will put it on here!
Have a great week. I encourage you to find out more of who God really is, not just who you think He is.

Verse of the Week #22

I can't believe I am writing the 22nd verse of the week post! But here I am!
I want to wish you all a great week.

John 8:32
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Is there something in your life you need to tell someone about? Did you do something wrong and have kept it to yourself? If so, take this to heart. For this is the truth.

And this is also a verse that can give you courage and wisdom. No matter what happens to you, where you go, or what you are doing, know this verse is true. For this is the truth.

Verse of the Week #21

2 Corinthians 3:17
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

How did your 4th of July go?
Mine was great. Actually amazing!
I wrote a blog post, decorated, worked on a 4-H project, painted my nails like an american flag, coated some pretzels and shot off some fireworks. They had a new kind of firework at the firework show this year and it looked like a tiny flower but shot like a cannon! It was awesome. Then they had my favorite: white waterfalls with red ends. Those are so pretty. We were sitting with our friends that we sit with every year--in the same spot every year. I love traditions and that is one of them. For dinner we made hot dogs over a fire. Normally I do not like hot dogs, but these were good. And today our friends are coming over, so that will be really fun. There is a firework that is a fountain that everyone liked it is a #4 cone. It made a nice show.
Now for the actual verse of the week.
Galatians 5:1
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery.

Have a blessed week!

The Blood Stained Red at the Battle Of Carthage, 1861.

I would like to pay honor to the people who fought and died at the battle of Carthage Missouri. The battle of Carthage took place yesterday, 154 years ago.
I wrote this yesterday but I did not get it published. I am sorry about that.
The blood stained red.
But Col. Sigel and Gov. Jackson, still led,
Their soldiers who fought so bold,
But the Missouri State Guard was to much to behold.
By Gov. Jackson this battle was won,
But the Civil War was long from done.
For years many hearts would be pierced by the stain of blood,
Many would think of their loved ones, fighting, with clarity as thick as mud.
But the year was only 1861,
And it seemed every boy and man held a gun.

Happy Independence Day!

Freedom is NOT free. That is why we have the 4th of July to praise God and celebrate our freedom. But we need to pray for our troops and pray for salvation all across the nation.
I would like to share some great patriotic songs below.

Oh Say Can You See (our national anthem): Sung by Lexi Walker

American Heart: Faith Hill

God Bless The U.S.A. : Lee Greenwood

It's America: Rodney Atkins

And there are many more that are great patriotic songs, but I don't have time share them all!

Here is a poem by Johnny Cash that you HAVE to watch!

Verse of the Week #20 Light Overcomes Darkness

"The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has never (and can never) overcome it."
-John 1:5
The bold italic text was inserted by me.

This means the same as: God shines in the darkness and Evil can never overcome Him, because God has overcome the world. You know?
John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

The Bible can use a lot of examples and metaphores, but also straight out honestly speaking. Therefore you have to look between the lines. This is something the Holy Spirit can do for you. Ask Him to help you read between and find true meanings and other things the verse will work for.
Personally this verse gave me encouragement--knowing that darkness can always be defeated by light. Scientifically speaking also.
If you want to there is a declaration below that I wrote to our problems, and you are free to use it if you wish.
"Dear ____________(problem),
Light will always, always overcome darkness. You cannot mess with me because God has overcome the world and as a daughter (or son) of God, I have authority to claim that in His name. If you want to mess with me just know that you are facing a war. And not just mentally, physically and emotionally; but spiritually. I am protected by the King if I have faith, and I do have faith, and trust in the Lord. And know that this war is a war you cannot win. YOU CANNOT WIN. God has already won the war and therefore I have already won the war.
Truly and with all sincerity,

Additional Information:
Please do not use this declaration type thing somewhere else (except for personal use, like in your diary)without permission from me. I am fine with it if you want to use it on your blog, but ONLY if you ask me first. Thank you. Also, I did make both pictures, but I got the idea for the #WAR one from a special service our church did for Father's Day.
